Mission To worship and honor God through our singing and to lead others in worship.
We worship God when we:
Proclaim our love for God and our desire to serve him through our music.
We honor God when we:
- Care about and for each other
- Share God's love and promise of abundant life with others.
- Aim for our highest level of skill in our musical offerings.
- The Sanctuary Choir rehearses on Thursday nights from 7 – 9 pm and leads the
- Traditional Service (8:45) each Sunday. The choir is for teens through adults who enjoy singing. Participants do not need to be able to read music.
Sanctuary Choir
The Sanctuary Choir of CCC has steadily gained a reputation for musical excellence, balanced with a high priority of pastoral concern among its members and a desire to reach out into the community with the Good News of Christ's abundant life. The choir rehearses and presents musical offerings in worship weekly. Special programs are presented during Christmas and Holy Week seasons.
Orchestra
Whether that old trumpet has been gathering dust since high school or your violin is your most constant companion; there's a place for you to make music, make friends, and minister at Christ Community.
The Arts and Worship department is developing an instrumental music program to train and mentor beginning instrumentalists; encourage and develop more advanced players; and provide opportunities for instrumental musicians of all types and levels to serve God and the community with their talents.
The orchestra rehearses on Thursday nights from 6 – 7pm and plays monthly in the Traditional Service (8:45). We invite teens through adults who can play at an intermediate to advanced level to join the orchestra.
Handbells
Christ Community Church has a thriving Handbell Ministry consisting of five choirs under the direction of Sharon Sowers. We have 2 adult choirs and our 3 children's choirs are filled with ringers ages 5 through high school. The Christ Community Handbell Ministry strives to bring the grace of God through music to those within our church and surrounding community by playing in worship, offering outreach programs and hosting an annual spring concert.
