Consistory
Christ Community Church is separately incorporated and is governed by a
consistory which administers its business and activities. The
consistory includes the pastors of the church plus the deacons and
elders elected by the congregation.
Elders and deacons are elected for fixed terms and new elders and
deacons are elected at regular intervals established in the by-laws of
the church. The president of consistory is the senior pastor (or head
pastor) and the other officers are elected from within the consistory
following each election of elders and deacons.
When an RCA church is without a pastor, the remaining consistory locates a pastor and calls that pastor to serve.
