Powerhouse Prayer is a team of people that meet to pray for the needs of the congregation during services on Sunday.

Purpose
God invites us to pray. Prayer unleashes the Holy Spirit's power. Group prayer is a great encouragement and it links people together. The Powerhouse Prayer time is a wonderful way to worship and to support the ministry of Christ Community Church.

Who?
Anyone interested in spending an hour in praise and prayer with a small group of CCC people. A "leader" is present during each service to facilitate the hour of corporate prayer.

What?
Using a prayer agenda, the "leader" guides the group through a time of corporate prayer. This prayer time is divided into four segments, or sections:

Section 1 - Seeking God's face
This time focuses on praise and worship. We use praise choruses, Psalms, and passages of Scripture emphasizing God's attributes. this is a time to reflect on who God is and what He has done.

Section 2 - Confession
This period emphasizes our need for God and his forgiveness. We confess our sins and claim God's promise of cleansing, mercy and victory over Satan. Again, we use Scripture and song.

Section 3 - Seeking God's hand
In this time we invite God's presence and power to be revealed as people are in worship. We focus on praying for those in worship, for the musicians, worship leaders, preacher, Sunday morning teachers, etc.

Section 4 - Response to the Word
In the remaining time we pray that decisions will be made for Christ. We pray that believers will be attentive to the Spirit, exhibit the fruit of the Spirit, use their spiritual gifts in the body, give generously to the work of the kingdom, reach out to the community, and grow deeper in their relationship with Christ. We use song and Scripture to support this time as well.
